Step1: Greetings and Warming up
T:Good afternoon,class!
Ss:Good afternoon, teacher!
T:How do you feel?
Ss:We feel hot, very hot.
T:Yes, It`s very hot. Summer is coming and the summer holiday is coming , too. Now, it`s summer in Canada, too. We will look at Jenny`s summer holiday today. First, let`s learn some new words.
Step2: Presentation
1.Present the picture of “swimming”,let the Ss guess the meaning of it. And tell them about “swimming and swaw”.Read aloud.
2.Present the picture of “lake, ship and boat”.Read aloud.
3.Ask the Ss to write the new words on their notebooks.
4.Ask the Ss to listen to the tape ,and then read the text aloud,at last talk about the following questions and answer them.
a.What did Jenny do last summer?
b.Who did Jenny go with?
c.What will Jenny do this summer?
d.What will Jenny watch on the sea?
5.Let the Ss talk about the following two questions.
a.What did you do last summer?
b.What will you do this summer?
Step3.Let`s sing a song
1.play the song and let the Ss clap their hands according to the rhythm.
2.play the song again and let the Ss stand up singing after it.
3.play the song again and again .
Step4.Homework.
Retell the text again by themselves and practice the song again
and again .
