Step 1 复习导入
通过小游戏的形式检查学生对第三单元单词的掌握情况
由老师抽签的形式从每组选出一名学生上台抽取单词,此同学说出单词的汉语意思,此组同学依次回答单词的拼读,答对一个算一分,比赛哪组得分高。
Step 2 Preparation and Presentation
1. Lead-in:
T: I went to Shanghai last winter holiday. Look , what am I doing?
Ss: You are buying gifts. (板书Buying Gifts)
T: I want to buy some gifts for my family. There are five people in my family. And I need a gift for everyone in my family. So how many gifts do I need?
Ss: Four gifts.
【设计意图】 通过老师去上海、给家人买礼物,引出本课话题。贴近生活,容易引起学生的兴趣。初次出现How many … do I need?,根据实际情况,学生能理解本句话。
2. First-reading:
T: Li Ming is in Canada now. He will fly home. He loves his family.
(学生带着问题快速阅读,找出教师所提出的三个问题答案)
Let the students read the text silently and quickly and answer the two questions. )
When will he fly home?
What does he want to do?
How many gifts does he need?
( He will fly home next week. He wanted to buy some gifts for his family.
