5. Teaching procedures
Step1 Warming up
(1) Greetings.
(2) Let’s chant.
(3) Group the Ss into two groups.
4. I can read: Have a review of the words in unit 2.
Purpose: To form a better English learning surrounding for the Ss, meanwhile, Ss can review the knowledge they have learned in this unit. What’s more, proper competition can arouse Ss’ interest in English learning.
Step 2 Presentation
Watch the video and answer the questions.
See the pictures one by one and learn the new words.
(3) Listen and imitate the recording. Then read the story in different ways to remember the content in the story.
(4) Role play. The pupils play the roles in the story.
Purpose: To cultivate pupils’ basic abilities of their listening speaking and reading. Role-play can help the pupils to use the language in real situations. Group cooperation can develop their team spirit .
