教学过程

Step 1 Greetings

T: Good afternoon, boys and girls!

S: Good afternoon, Miss Liu.

T: We have learnt some animals last term. Now look at the pictures and tell me what are they?

[设计意图]师生相互问候,创造语言环境,拉近师生距离,复习所学过的动物,为下一步教学做铺垫。Step 2 Guessing Game

T: Who want to touch them?

(Invite some students to touch and guess what are they?)

S: A monkey!

T: Ok! Look! (show the monkey ) this monkey is fat or thin?

S: Thin.

[设计意图]通过竞猜游戏给学生设置悬念,吸引学生注意。展示物品后自然导入胖瘦单词的教学。T: Great! This monkey is very thin.

It’s thin.

T&S: thin, thin! It’s thin . (Read it group by group)

T: How to spell it? Write “thin” on the blackboard.

(Show another pictures about thin, let students ask and answer “Look at that…It’s thin. ”

T: Oh! Look at that monkey! That monkey is fat or thin?

S: It is fat.

T: Yes. It is fat.

T&S: fat, fat! It’s fat . (Read it group by group)

T: How to spell it? Write “fat” on the blackboard.

(Show another pictures about fat, let students ask and answer “Look at that…It’s fat. ”

T: I like giraffes. I have some giraffes in my bag. Now please look, Father Giraffe, mother giraffe and baby giraffe. Baby giraffe is short. Mother giraffe is tall. Father giraffe is so tall.
