教学重点：能正确运用句型：Look at that that giraffe. It’s so tall. It’s short and fat.

教学难点：Giraffe的正确发音。正确运用主要句型描述动物的主要特征。

教学过程：

Step1. Warm-up

First let Ss enjoy an English song called At the zoo. Lead to the title of Unit 3 At the zoo.

Free talk .Do you like animals ? Ss answer Yes ,we do . Teacher says: Let’s go to the zoo and see the animals . What animals can you see in the zoo？

Brain storm . Show some flashcards quickly to review the words of animals .

Step2.Presentation

教学单词giraffe tall short fat 及句子It’s so...．

1.利用课件引出单词giraffe ，再利用单词卡片进行教学，重点教会学生的发音，分音节进行教学，板书giraffe。指课件说Look at that giraffe.教会其发音，并板书。再说Look at that giraffe. It’s tall.用动作帮助学生理解，教学单词 tall。边说边做动作Be tall,Be tall.Be tall tall tall

2.利用长颈鹿和熊的高矮之差让学生猜下一个新授词汇short，并练习tall，short。边说边做动作Be short ,Be short.Be short short short

3.学习fat，方法如上。同时渗透单词thin。师说并加动作Wow! It’s so fat.用强调的语气强化 so的意义并教学此句型。Be fat. Be fat. Be fat fat fat . / Be thin. Be thin. Be thin thin thin. Wow! It’s so fat.用强调的语气强化 so的意义并教学此句型。学完这3个单词后，再学习句型Ha！It’s short and fat.教读并板书。

Step3.Practice

1.让学生看Let’s talk 的图片，师提出问题What animals can they see?利用动作帮助学生理解此句型。

2.听录音回答问题：1. Who is tall? 2. Who is short and fat?

Listen and repeat.

Listen and repeat again.老师扮演Miss White的角色，女生（Amy),男生（Zhang Peng),再次交换角色并跟读。目的是教会学生学会分角色练习对话。

3.Practice in groups.学生带头饰表演。

4.游戏巩固练习，呈现图片，学生选择自己喜欢的动物用句型：Look at that...．Wow！（Ha！）It’s (so)...．来谈论。

Draw and say

T:(老师拿一幅动物的简笔画）I have a zoo. I draw it myself and I can say.（用动作帮学生理解）T: Look at my...．Wow！（Ha！）It’s (so)...．Chen Jie and John can draw and say, Let’s have a look.(课件播放）T: Let’s have a try, OK?生开始练习。

小组内进行对话练习。练习完后，2-3组学生上台展示。运用句子Look at my...．It’s (so)...．进行巩固操练。

Step4. Let’s do

I say you do . 让学生边说边做动作，然后让学生上台表演，一个学生说，另一个学生做动作。

Step5.Conclusion

引导学生总结What have you learned today?并作小组竞赛总结。

情感教育：Animals are our friends, we should protect them. Don't feed the animals at the zoo.

动物是我们的朋友，我们应该保护它们，去动物园不要随便投喂动物。

Step5.Homework

1) Listen to the tape and repeat.（听录音并且跟读。）
