Teaching procedure:

Warming up:

Teacher plays a video, ABC song. Let students sing with the music to make them calm down.

Teacher asks students ”Where are you from?” Let students point and say ”I’m from” to review.

Presentation:

Teacher shows some pictures of the story. Teacher tells a story with some motions of body. Let students guess the meaning of the words.

Then teacher asks students the number of family members so that they can review the numbers.

Teacher asks students who they are. If the students can answer the questions, teacher gives the stickers as prizes.

Read after teacher. Then read the words in different ways. Ask 3 students to come to the blackboard as little teachers. Everyone read after them.

Students have a competition with teacher. When teacher speaks loudly, they speak lightly. When teacher speak lightly, students speak loudly.

Teacher asks students who knows other ways to say “father”. Then teacher explains and plays a video. Students and teacher perform together.

Tell students some words are missing. Let students find the missing words and speak them loudly.

Teacher tells students that parents and grandparents love them very much. They need to express the feeling to them, too. Teach students how to say “I love...”

Teacher shows pictures one by one. Let students make sentences using “I love...”. Then read after teacher.

Game time. Let students draw family members on the finger. Watch a video and learn to sing this song. Then teacher and students sing and dance together.

Teacher shows some pictures of the family members. Let some students come to the blackboard to do a match.

Summing up:

Students speak according to the pictures.

Teacher asks students ”Are you happy today?” Then we finish this lesson.

Homework:

Please say “I love you” to your family.
