T:Today,we are going to learn Part A Let’s spell in Unit 4:the sound of “or”.Before our class,let’s watch a short movie to review the sound of the 26 letters.Are you ready for the movie? Ok ,let’s begin( watch the movie)
Step 2 Presentation(20 minutes)
Teach the students the sound of“or”
T:OK,let’s stop here.Is it funny?This is a funny movie,after review the sound of each letter,let’s learn the sound of “or”.Before that,let me introduce my friend to you (show a picture of York to the students),look,he is my friend ,what’s his name ?
Ss:His name is York.
T:Yes,he is York,do you want to know more about him?Let’s play a game “Read and judge”(The rules:if you think the sentence is right,you say ‘Yeah,Yeah,Yeah’,if you think it is flash,you say ‘No,No,No’
Let students to discuss in pairs,to find out what’s the same of the words about York.
S1:They all have “or”,and they all sounds the same.
Lead the students to listen to a chant of the sound of “or”,and do the action together.
2.Make some words with “or”
T:Just now ,we made some words,some of them are not really exist,but maybe someday.But I have some real words for you .
Show the words to the students(horse/pork/fork).

Thought a question:York is only four,but he is very busy,why ? To present some words to the students(word/worm/Worf/work),ask students what’s the same?
