Free talk
What do you like doing at weekends ? Do you often go shopping at weekends?
Where do you usually go shopping ?
T: Show students pictures of different shops and help them learn the names of these shops.
2. Ask students to write down the names of the shops under the pictures on Page 81 and then check the answers with their partners.
3. Let students practise reading these names of shops and have a game ”Which shop is missing”
4. Encourage students to have a competition.(Boys VS girls) Where can we buy the following?
Step 2 Presentation
1.Present the expressions: be interested in sth , collect stamps(板书)
2.Let students listen and answer the following questions.
(1) What does Millie tell Daniel to buy for Simon at first?
(2) What does Daniel want to buy at last? Why??
(3) Why doesn’t Daniel want to buy a music CD?
3. Ask students to practise reading the conversation in pairs and then act.
Step 3 Practice
Pair work:
Ask students to work in pairs and make up a new conversation about buying presents for one’s birthday, using Daniel and Millie’s conversation as a model.()
