Step1: Warming up and revision

1 Greeting.

2 Enjoy the song:Who’s your teacher?

T: Let’s enjoy a song. If you like, please sing with the tape.

3 PPT出示图一。

(1) T:Who’s your music teacher? S: Mr Young.

T: What’s he like? S: He is old.

T: Is he kind? S: Yes, he is.

(2) T: Work in pairs. Talk about other teachers.

4 PPT出示图二。

(1)T:What about our friends. What are they like? Look! Chen Jie is polite…..

(2) 生生问答:What’ s ….like? He/She is ….

5 PPT出示本单元所学描述人的单词,学生齐读单词。

T: We can use these words to describe others. Let’s read them together.

6 PPT出示图片三,学生介绍图中的人物。

(设计意图:教育学家托尔斯泰说过:成功的教学所必须的不是强调,而是激发学生的兴趣。激发学生参与学习的兴趣,是新课导入的关键,精彩的课堂开头,不仅能使学生迅速地兴奋起来,而且能使学生把学习当成一种自我需要自然地进入学习新知的情景。播放本单元的主题歌曲,让学生欣赏跟唱,调动积极性的同时也渗透了本节课要运用的句型。本节课是一节读写课,在讲授新知前给学生提供大量的练习运用所学过知识的机会,在接下来的各个环节中,学生才能够顺利的理解、练习、运用,做到有话可说。)

Step2:Presentation and practice.

1 PPT出示机器人Robin。

(1)T:Today we’ll meet a new friend. He is strong.too. Look! Ah-ha! He’s a robot. 教读 robot.

(2)听课文录音,回答问题:What’s his name? Who made him?

教读made.

2 T:Robin is our new friend. What’s Robin like? Today let’s meet Robin. 板书Meet Robin.

3学生读课文,画出描述Robin 的句子。

T:Please read Wu Yifan’s diary. Draw a line under the correct sentences.

4学生回答问题,教师板书。同桌之间互问互答。

5学生完成书中练习.

(1) T:Look at this chart. Is he tall? Is he short? Please read and tick or cross.
