I.Warming-up

Activity 1. Enjoy a song

Sing a song: The Dark House

T: Listen and answer: What’s in the box?

Ss listen to the song and answer the question.

Activity 2. Listen and Show. (Pre-reading)

T: Today we will enjoy a story. It’s a dark story.

In the story, there is a dark dark wood.

Ss learn the words: dark﹨wood

T shows the sentence: There is a ….

There are some….

Ss listen and show their facial expression.

Eg: T: In the dark dark wood, there is a big big monster.

Ss: Ahh….

Ss imagine and talk about it in pairs.

II.Presentation and Practise

Activity 1. Read quickly and answer: (while-reading)

T: In the story, what’s in the dark dark wood?

Ss read quickly and answer the question.
