三）学情分析：

本课时为本单元的第二课时。在第一课时中通过对商店名称和物品的学习，学生对“购物”的话题产生了浓厚兴趣，对于本课时的“购物内容”的理解与表演能轻松进行；所用的学生是来源于学校国际班的学生，他们英语基础扎实，因而对于本课阅读理解任务的完成和购物情景的表演皆能容易完成。

四）教学步骤：

Step 1: Lead-in

Review the last lesson.

Who is the man? (Arron ,the oral English teacher) Do you like him? I like him too. Arron’birthday is coming. I want to buy a birthday present for him. What do you want to buy for him?

Present some new words and key sentences.

Can I help you?= What can I do for you?

Just a minute. =Wait for a short time.

How much are they? =How much do they cost?

Step 2:Presentation

Read the new words together and do the word matching on P83 B1.

2. Listen to the tape and answer two questions.

Amy is shopping at Sunshine Shopping Mall. She is looking for Christmas presents for Simon and Sandy. Listen and answer:

1) What does Amy buy for Simon?

2) What does Amy buy for Sandy?

3. Fast reading.

1) Read the first part after the tape and answer:

(1) How much do the new cards cost?

(2) How much do the last year's cards cost?

2) Read the second part after the tape and answer:

(1) How much money does Amy have?

(2) How much are the hair clips?

4. Careful reading. Read and finish T/F questions.
