Students can listen for specific information in the dialogues.
Students can follow the main character- Simon’s feeling and learn from him about his virtues --- to help others and to spend pocket money wisely.
Teaching procedures:
Step1 Warming-up
1. To revise the related sentences in shopping circumstances.
2. To think about what else we involve besides the price when we buy clothes and shoes.
Step2 Reading
1. To read the dialogue and complete a table.
2. To read and find out sentences related to the new item we learn.
Step3 Practising
To make up a dialogue about buying clothes and remind them to take their own shopping experiences into account.
Step4 Discussing
To think about “If Simon wants to buy that pair of shoes , what ”
Step5 Listening
1. To listen to the dialogue in Part A1 and match,then check the answers.
2. To look at some pictures and talk about what they are about and what they need.
3. To listen to the dialogue in Part A2 and complete the table, then check the answers.
Step6 Discussing
To discuss with group members about what we can learn from Simon.
