Step2: Presentation

Use a rhyme to tell a story.

Show a picture of a wood to teach ‘wood’. Then change the picture to teach ‘dark wood’ and ask what is in the wood . Introduce the mysterious man.

Ask student what they will do if the face the dark wood. Tell them not to be afraid when they face darkness, the should be brave.

Teach the new word one by one, and go on reading the story.

Show the whole story, and play the recording.

Step3:Practice

Ask students to read the story by themselves.

Number the words and retell the story.

Find friends for the words and write them down.

Step4: Consolidation and extension

write an ending for the story.

Give some different pictures, let students write a new story. Using the patterns ‘in/on…there is /are…’

Step5:homework

Read the story.

Write a new story.1·由歌曲热身,再由歌曲内容引出问题让学生使用there be去讨论他们自己房间的物品.

2.童谣的使用激发了学生的好奇心,为后面新知识的学习作了铺垫.

3.在介绍完神秘男子出现在小树林之后,问学生,面对黑暗他们应该怎么做,鼓励学生去勇敢面对.

4.让学生自己去想象续写故事的结尾,给出几条不同的线索。训练学生的发散性思维。

5.写出新的故事,模仿所学句型的同时,对介词的运用进行拓展。板书设计:
