According to the teaching aims and teaching difficulties, I devide my teaching procedures in to three parts(pre- reading while reading and post reading) , in my design I use the task-based teaching method. so I designed different kinds of tasks in every stage of reading. They are from easy to difficult, layer by layer. I want my students to learn easily and happily in the reading class. In order to make my class more lovely , after the reading practice , I design a traveling for my students, I will show four places (Munich, Germany. Alaska, USA 、Jiangxi, China 、 Papa Westray ,Scotland) for them to choose, in this part I will tell them some different cultures in different places . In post reading I design a post making activity , in this part I ask my students to give suggestions to the people in the four places. Then I will create a situation , I tell my students that I will go to Shanghai by car and I ask them to give suggestions to me . From here I have finished my teaching parts, next comes summary , I ask my students to sum up the lesson by themselves . Sing an English song together. “How do you get there?”
T: After singing the song I will ask you two questions :(1)How many ways are there in the song? (2)And what are they?
（Teaching evaluation: After singing the song, the teacher can award them the words “You all did good jobs” because all of them have joined the activity.）
Purpose: Use the electronic whiteboard to play the song .All the students and the teacher sing together, I think it can not only active the atmosphere, but also pave the way for today's learning. I also think questions are useful to them.
Step two: Reading practice
Pre-reading
1. Brain storm.
Ss brain storm the different ways to go to school.
T: Boys and girls , just now you did a good job and I think you are the best. Now I want you to tell me more about the ways to school.
Purpose: Here I want my students to open their mind and speak out the ways to school they have known.
Show the students another two new ways to school.(sled and ferry)
T: Today I will tell you two new ways to school.
Purpose: Here I use two different ways to present the two new words.
For “sled” I show them a picture first and then play the record for them, at last I ask them to say the word they have heard. Because I think listening ability is very important for English learning.
For “ferry” I play a short movie for them, it’s about some of my students, they go to school by ferry everyday, I use this movie because it is close to my students’ daily life, they will be more interested in this lesson when they watch this.
Guess: Show them a picture and guess how the students in the picture go to school?
T: Boys and girls please look at this picture , guess how do the students go to school in the picture.
