Step1 Warm up

Greeting:师生互相问好。

Step2 Revision

复习四会单词：younger, older, taller, shorter,

longer，thinner等。

活动方式：教师出示图片，请学生快速读出单词，并说出汉语意思。

Step3 Presentation

师生对话，导入故事。

T: Do you like football?

Ss:Yes, I do.

T: Who is often in the front of the goal? Yes, it’s a goalkeeper. Look! What’s happening there? Yes, someone needs a goalkeeper! Then, what’s going on? Let’s read the story.

2.请学生带着问题阅读故事，了解故事大意。

3.教师分场景讲解故事，要求学生边听边思考：

Q1：What are they talking?

Q2: How many animals?

Q3: Who is the tallest?

Q4: Mr Zebra can’t catch the ball. Why?

Q5: Whose neck is the longest?

Q6: Mr Hippo is an excellent goalkeeper. Why?

4.小组讨论后回答问题。

5.让学生模仿故事中人物的语音、语调说句子。

6.让小组内的学生分角色表演。

Step4 Consolidation and extension

师生一起完成课件中的习题。

1.读一读，选择最佳答案。

2.根据句意用所给词的适当形式填空。
