III、Teaching procedures
Step 1. Pre-reading
Fee talk
sing a song and talk about last weekend.(eg. How was your
weekend?/What did you do?/Did you…?).
2)Brain storming
Present some pictures of different expressions, and talk about their weekend, then present a picture of tired Zoom from the story, let students to predict the story.
Step 2 While- reading
ask students to read the story quickly and get the answer: How was Zoom’s last weekend?
2) Fill in the tables
Ask students to read the story carefully and underline the activities, fill in the table. (What did Zoom do last weekend?)
3)Listen and repeat
Students listen and repeat the dialog after the video, then
read the story in different roles, encourage them to read the story vividly.
Step 3 Post reading
Retell the story according to the Mind—map.
Encourage students to retell the story by themselves.
Design another weekend for Zoom
Zoom’s weekend was busy, he was tired, maybe he fell asleep and had a dream in the class, can you talk about something about his dream. he dreamed another weekend, ask students to think more different kinds of weekend for Zoom, and design another weekend for Zoom.
Step4 Homework
1.Read the story vividly after class.
2.Design your own weekend, and try to introduce it next class.
