Teaching Steps:

Step 1: Warm-up

1. Let’s chant

2. Free talk

(1)How was your weekend?

(2)What did you do yesterday/ last night?

(3)Did you ...? Yes, i did./ No, i didn’t.

Step 2: Presentation

1. Teacher says : “Last night, I stayed at home and slept. Then I had a very interesting dream. Do you want to know my dream?”

2. Teacher asks students to listen and guess what she did in her dream. Then teacher can show or draw pictures to teach the five new verb phrases.

(1)Teacher shows cards and reads the phrase, students follow.

(2)Students read the phrase together、in groups& individually.

(3)Teacher asks questions, students anser. Then the teacher can find some students to ask or answer the questions.

3. Teacher asks: “What did I do in my dream?”, students answer.

4.Play games.

(1) Blow the balloon (2)Bomb game

5.Teacher shows pictures and asks: “Where is it? Where did you go?” .Then teacher can teach the sentences “Where did you go last Saturday? I went to ...”.

6.Teacher shows some pictures of different places and asks: “Where did you go?” .Students anser the questions together and individually.

Step 3: Practice

1.Group work: To be a little reporter.

T: Our school radio wants some reporters. If you want to be a little reporter, you have to interview 1 classmate. You can ask these questions.

Where did you go...? What did you do ?

(1)Students practise in groups.

(2)Interview task.

2.Write and say

(1)Students write about their weekend’s life.

(2)Give a short speech.

Hello, I am....My weekend was....Last Saturday I .... Last Sunday I .... Thank you!

Step 4: Summary& Homework

1.Teacher says: “Weekend are nice. I love weekends very much. What about you? This weekend is coming? Are you happy? I hope you can do more exercises to keep healthy. But you must be careful and keep safe.”
