Step2: Lead in
Free Talk(Ss talk about their weekend with teacher.)
A: What did you do the day before yesterday/ yesterday/ last weekend/...
B: I... washed my clothes, had a cold
cleaned the room, slept
wacthed TV,drank tea, read a film magazine
Ss have a talk about things we can do in spring.
T: What can you do in spring?
Ss: I can... go fishing , ride a bike
ride a horse, take pictures
Step 3 . Presentation
Present a picture of Zhang Peng chatting with John on the Internet.
Zhang: Hi ,John. What about your last weekend?
John: My family went to a forestpark last weekend.Teacher present “went-----go ”
Present a picture of a camp and ask “what did they do there?” (camp------camping----went camping)
S: Went camping, they went camping (go camping)
Introduce more phrases:
went fishing/ swimming/shopping/hiking/...
Ss practice like: A: What did you he/she do yesterday?B:He/She _______.
Zhang: Did you do anything else?
John: Yes,I rode a bike and then I rode a horse.
Teach “rode a bike ” and “ride a bike”
T: How did you go to school yesterday?
“I went to school by bike.
