Play a guessing game
1.You can read books. Where is it? (It’s a library.)
2.You can draw pictures. Where is it? (It’s an art room.)

Step 2. Presentation
教学单词grass, gym, dining hall, ago.
Show the picture of playground and point to the grass. T: What’s this? Ss: It’s grass. 板书grass并教读。T: What can we do on the grass? Play football.以同样的方法教学gym, dining hall. T: What can we do in the gym? Play basketball. Play ping-pang. What can we do in the dining hall? Have lunch.
2.The difference between hotel and motel. (汽车旅馆和一般旅馆最大的不同点在于汽车旅馆提供的停车位与房间相连,一楼当作车库,二楼为房间。)
3.教学单词ago及词组... days ago, ... months ago,... years ago. 教师先说几个句子让学生感受。板书并教读ago。让学生说出... days ago, ... months ago,... years ago的意思并造句。再让学生说说还有哪些表示过去的时间?
4.出示两张新旧学校图片介绍:There was no gym in my school twenty years ago. Now there’s a new one in our school. 教读。学生学说句子,描述学校以前和现在的样子.如:There was no computer room ten years ago. Now there’s a new one in our school.学生仿读Let’s learn.
