【教学重点】
1.听说读写句子Before, I was quiet. Now, I’m very active in class.
I was short, so I couldn’t ride my bike well. Now, I go cycling every day.
2.准确掌握different的发音。

【教学过程】
一、复习
1.Play games : “Bomb time” and “Magic eyes” .
(设计意图:两个有趣好玩的游戏既营造了活跃的课堂氛围,又复习了有关外貌、性格、爱好、动作行为等方面的单词,为本课学习比较自己和他人今昔对比做了词汇运用上的铺垫。)
2.Free talk
T:Before the two funny games , I was tired , because I went to bed late last night . But now I’m relaxed and happy . I changed . Actually , Everyone has changes . Let’s see .
(板书:change,教学change一词,学生会意后达到三会即可。)
二、新课呈现
1.出示郎朗的老照片,学生猜Who‘s he ? 并看图填空句子Twenty years ago, he_______ (play) the piano at home. Now, he ______ (play) the piano everywhere.
2.出示习近平主席年少时的照片,学生填空句子Forty–five years ago, he _______ (be) a student.并猜Who‘s he ?
3.出示一张男孩的照片,引导学生猜Who‘s he ? 并看图填空句子Twenty-five years ago,the boy _________ (visit) the Great Wall.后再出示那个男孩——姚明的新老照片,教学different一词。
板书:different ,请学生说出它的意思,并教读。
4. Look at Yao Ming’s old photos. What changes are in Yao Ming ? Are they all different now ?
Eg:T: What was he like before? Ss: …
T: How about now ? Ss: …
5.教学active 和 板书句子:Before, I was quiet. Now, I’m very active in class.请学生说意思,然后齐读。
6. T: Did he play basketball well before ? Ss: No , he didn’t .
板书句子:He was short, so he couldn’t play basketball well. Now, he plays it every weekend .
(设计意图:通过观察及教师有目的的提问,学生在语境中运用一般现在时和一般过去时比较姚明今昔的外貌、性格、行为的变化。为本课时重点句型的认读和运用奠定基础;同时也培养了学生仔细观察身边事物的好习惯。)
7. 学生跟唱歌曲《Changes in me》。
T: Yao Ming changes . Mike changes , too . Let’s sing the song 《Changes in me》.
8.Let's try。学生审题后,教师播放Let's try的录音,后师生纠正答案。
