教学过程:
一、 Warm-up:
1、Greetings.
设计意图:每日英语给学生提供说英语的机会和 环境,训练学生的英语口语。
2、Sing a song《Old Macdonald》
设计意图:歌曲能活跃气氛,并能让学生迅速进入英语课堂学习状态。由歌曲引出老Macdonald的农场,为本课学习创设情境。并顺势把学生分成两组,让学生在有效的激励下学习,效果会更好。
二 、Review:
1、Game: Hit, hit, hit.
设计意图:游戏不仅符合小学生爱玩,好动的年龄特点,也让学生的思维同身体一起动了起来,游戏中的单词很好地刺激了学生的大脑,让学生快速地复习了旧知,并为本课的学习做好铺垫。
三、Lead-in
T: Mike visited Macdonald’s farm. He had happy days on the farm. On the first day, he saw a lot of animals. And he also met many new friends there. Now come and meet his new friends.
设计意图:结合图文介绍Mike第一、二天的农场生活,既复习了上节课的内容,又引入了新课,起到承上启下的作用。
四、Presentation
(1) T: Look! This is his new friend. What’s his name? How old is he ?What’s his hobby? Now can you describe him? What’s he like?
帮助学生看图边回忆形容词边描述Bill 和Mrs. Booth的外貌特征,并把重点句型贴在黑板上。要求学生用完整的句子描述Bill和Mrs. Booth的外貌.

设计意图:通过对Bill 和Mrs. Booth的外貌描述,帮助学生复习所学词汇。
(2) 学生翻书43面,独立完成练习,全班核对。
(3) 结合黑板上的重点词汇及句型,师生对话:A:What’s he﹨she like?
B: He﹨ she is ….
(4)自编chant:
He is short, but she is tall.
He is heavy, but she is thin.
He is young. She is old.
He has short hair, she has long hair.
He has a red bag, she has a green bag.
They are my good friends: Bill and Booth.
设计意图:复习完本课重点单词及句型后,师生自编有节奏的说唱歌谣,即可以调动学生情绪,提高注意力,活跃课堂氛围,同时,教师也可以检测学生对以往学过知识的掌握情况。
