Teaching Aims and Demands

The teaching aim's basis is established according to Junior School English syllabus' provision.

(1). Knowledge objects

To study the vocabulary of different food and words like “health; energy; favourite”, etc.

To learn and master the phrases and sentences “a healthy lifestyle; An apple a day keeps the doctor away; I (don’t) like …because…”, etc.

(2). Ability objects

To develop Ss’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing.

To train Ss’ ability of working in pairs.

To develop Ss’ abilities of communication by working with others.

(3). Moral objects

Through different teaching methods and activities,SWBAT be interested in English study.

SWBAT know the importance of health and the ways to keep a healthy diet as well as a healthy lifestyle.

Teaching Key points and Difficult Points

(1). Key points:

SWBAT read the vocabulary of food correctly and talk about their favourite food.

SWBAT know about the ways to keep a healthy diet as well as a healthy lifestyle.

(2). Difficult points:

SWBAT talk about the ways to keep a healthy diet as well as a healthy lifestyle.

Part Two?---The Teaching Methods

As we all know, the main instructional aims of learning English in the Middle School is to cultivate Ss’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading, writing, their interest in English and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson I’ll mainly use Communicative Teaching Method, Task-based Teaching Method, Audio-visual Teaching Method and Classified Teaching Method.

That is to say, I’ll let Ss get a better understanding of the key structures. I’ll give Ss some tasks and arrange some kinds of activities, like the guessing game, watching CAI and a lot of group work. I want to make Ss the real masters in class while T acts as an director.

Part Three ---?Studying ways

(1). Preview the lesson and finish the leaning guide before class.

(2). Work in groups to finish the tasks.

(3). Be active in class and take part in the activities in class.
