Step1、Lead in
T: Boys and girls, What do you usually have for lunch?
S1: I have vegetables and meat.
T: What vegetables would you like?
S1: I like carrots.
Write down what the students say and get ready for the next step.
Step2、Presentation
Let the students look at the five groups of food with pictures, they are meat, fruit, vegetables, drinks and snacks.
Show the food with picture. Let the students read the words one by one.
Step3、Work in group
Put the food into the correct groups.
T: Boys and girls, Millie wants to collect some information about food. Would you like to help her put the food into the correct group?
Let the students finish it in group.
Step4、Listen and answer
T: Come to B, Millie and Daniel are talking about food they like or dislike. Now let’s listen to their conversation and fill the blanks.
