To talk about students’ own food and lifestyle and know how to live a long and healthy life.

四、教学过程

Step1:Lead in

Look, guess and think:

Look at a picture of my grandmother and guess how old is she. Then ask students if they want to live a long and healthy life and think how to do that.

(设计意图:通过观看图片中奶奶的幸福生活,让学生对过一个健康长寿的生活产生共鸣,并思考和谈论如何更健康长寿,为实现教学目标和开展教学活动垫底基础。)

Share two of the secrets to live a long and healthy life through two proverbs. An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Life lies in exercise.

(设计意图:通过两句谚语引入食物和生活方式对健康的重要性,也就是导入了阅读文章的主题,同时在谚语的分析中对文章的部分生词进行了解释,也锻炼了学生在语境中猜词的能力,生动自然)

Step2: To be a fast reader. Ask students to read the article quickly and find out the answer to three questions.

(设计意图:设置三个问题,让学生找准关键词,通过快速阅读以及看文章配图等多种方式找到答案,培养学生阅读技巧。)

Step3: To be a careful reader. Ask students to read carefully and find out more details.

Read by themself and answer how often and how long does Kitty dance.

Watch a video and match Kitty’s food with three meals then use a sentence pattern, For... she eats...to talk about Kitty’s food.

Read together and classify what does she like and dislike. In this activity, students are supposed to share their answer and tell the reason they find out in the article.

Retell the article about Kitty.

(设计意图:对于Kitty的文章内容采取了默读,齐读,观看视频听读多种方式,有助于培养学生的阅读能力,同时在阅读的过程中渗透新词,加深了学生对单词的理解。最后复述环节,通过部分词,句,图片提示到学生能够完全脱离提示复述由浅入深由易到难,锻炼了学生的表达能力。)

Listen and answer. Listen to the article about Daniel and choose then think about what should Daniel do.

Retell Daniel’s food and lifestyle.

(设计意图:夯实课本基础,完成阅读练习的同时要求学生牢记具体的内容,并通过思维导图的复述调动了学生的积极性也一定程度上反映教学效果。)

Step4:To be a good thinker

Think about how to keep fit according to the article.

Group work. Work in group of four and make an interview. One interviewer , two interviewees to talk about theri food and lifestyle, and one doctor to give advice.

Watch,think and write. Watch a video and get more ways to live a long and healthy life, then write their own healthy life resolution

(设计意图:通过观看英文小视频让学生了解更多健康生活的方法,锻炼了学生听,速记以及说的能力,同时思考如何并写出自己过健康生活的决心和计划。)
