Step One: Lead-in
1. Read a funny story to know the pronunciation is important .
2. Review the vowels I and II
3. Ask Ss to read out the vowels I and II .
Step Two : Learning
1. Learn the eight vowels one by one .
2. Read the vowels and summarize the pronunciation rules of the letter groups .
3. Listen to the tape and read after the tape .
4. Look at the big tree in Part A ,and try to put the words in the correct place according to their sounds .
Step Three : Practice
1. Finish the exercise in Part B .
2. Play a game :To catch the words on the balloons and read out correctly .
3. Play a game : Passing on a message. Listen to the tape and read after it .
4. Get Ss to say these phrases in Part C loudly .
Step Four : Chants
Get Ss to practice the pronunciation by saying a chant .
Can you read them quickly and correctly?
Step Five : Homework
1. Review the learned vowels.
