也叫鱼鹰，善潜水，能在水中以长而带钩的嘴捕鱼。鸬鹚在我国主要分布于长江中下游一带的水乡。用于捕鱼的鸬鹚，需用绿绳或稻草在其颈部系一活套，也可用金属环套在颈部，防止其捕鱼后吞食。每次捕鱼后，主人取下衔回的大鱼，还需要喂给小鱼以资奖励，促使其再次下水捕鱼。
