教学过程:
Step 1: Pre-listening: Free talk
Task1:show the studnts some pictures of festivals and let students talk about them.

Task 2:Discussion
How do people in China celebrate the Chinese New Year?
(设计意图:这单元主要是学习认识国内外的传统节日,所以Task1、Task 2意在让学生回顾、自由说出不同节日的时间以及节日里人们能干些什么来庆祝,同时培养学生能说、会说的语言能力。关键还在于最后一张对Chinese New Year的讨论既是回顾更是引出本节课的话题,自然过渡。)
Step 2: While-listening:
How do people in Chinatown in New York celebrate Chinese New Year? (Guess and talk in groups)
(设计意图:让学生先了解Chinatown的由来,然后讨论,我想学生会根据庆祝中国新年的方式来讨论,问题就会简单化。)
Task 1: Read the poster and answer more questions.
1.What are people going to do to celebrate the Chinese New Year?
2. What are they going to eat?
3. What can they watch on that day?
4. What day will they hold the party?
5. Where are they going to have the party?
(设计意图:由上述的讨论继而来阅读海报,回答更多更仔细的问题,一步一步的帮助学生了解更多。)
Task2:Listening
(1) Listen to the first part of the radio programme and get the time of each activity in Part A1
(2) Listen to the second part and get the place of each activity in Part A1
(3) Listen to the whole part again, then check the answers.
(设计意图:此部分的听力对于初一的学生来说,一气呵成还存在困难,所以分三个部分来完成既化解了难度又理清了内容的程序,此外(3)还帮助学生巩固听力,找出出处,使得问题清晰化,长此训练,学生的听力能力和技巧都会快速提高。)
Task3:Describing
Ask students to describe: How do people in Chinatown in New York celebrate Chinese New Year?according to part1 and part2 as much as you can.
(设计意图:很多课堂教学这部分都会省略,其实每一课的 Integrated skills都应该先让学生尝试的去说出自己的想法,去表达自己能表达的东西,再去学习课本中的,帮助学生完成由语言输出到输入的过程,而不是相反的,这样的形式应该存在每单元的很多课时中,长久的引导对学生语言表达能力的提升是明显的且对学生的写作能力也奠定了基础。)
Step3:Post-listening:Wring
1.Complete the blanks in Part A3 according to the information in PartA1
2.Read the poster and choose the correct answers。
