Step One: Self-presentation.
A prepared self- introduction is given and a good example is set.
设计意图:邀请一名有准备的学生进行自我介绍,激起学生对新同学的兴趣,也是本堂课的重点所在。展示学生流利的口语,自如的表达能激发学习积极学习的兴趣。
Step Two: Greetings.
1. Review the greetings which have been learned and give some examples.
2. Meet three new students in the class and practice orally.
设计意图:整合教材第7页,通过与进行自我介绍的学生结识,复习问候语,并且在班上示范和不同的学生进行见面问候的方式,帮助学生理解如何用英语和新朋友打招呼。接下来活学活用,离开座位,去主动认识班上自己不熟悉的三个新同学,并用英语打招呼。在真实的情境中活学活用问候语,也是和新同学交往的破冰之举。
Step Three: Meeting new friends from Sunshine Middle School.
1. Read and know Millie.
1) Read alone and know about Millie and try to find three key phrases to describe Millie.
2) Describe Millie according to the information and the picture orally.
2. Read and know Simon, Sandy and Daniel.
1) Read Simon’s, Sandy’s and Daniel’s profiles and find some key information about them.
2) Finish the mind map with the information got from the profiles.
3) Introduce the four students according to the information in the mind map in groups.
3. Listen to Millie and her mum and know about Kitty and Amy.
1) Listen and get some useful information.
2) Introduce Kitty and Amy with the correct information.
设计意图:整合书本第8页和第13页,通过读和听录音获取关于人物的有效信息,再通过自主表达,学会介绍人物。
Step Four: Meeting Daniel again.
1. Read Daniel’s profile and get more information about him.
2. Finish the mind map about Daniel.
3. Introduce Daniel according to the information in the mind map.
Step Five: Correcting the profiles written in the students’ books.
1. Work in groups of four and correct the mistakes.
2. Introduce themselves in front of others and try to make new friends.
设计意图:整合书本第16页,阅读关于Daniel更详细的介绍,基本了解一篇自我介绍的内容需要和段落分布,在同伴互助中通过本堂课所学修改之前写过的一篇自我介绍。邀请代表上台,并修改典型错误,提出改进意见。
