Aims

Step 1

Lead-in

Ask students to help teacher answer No No’s questions. Ask students the first question: Why the bears stop Vick from cutting down trees?

Answer the questions together.

To lead in the topic.

Step 2

Show students some pictures of the trees and its products. Ask students to answer Question 2: What are trees made into?

Make sentences according to the pictures.

To practice “am/is/are done”.

Step 3

Pair work

Show students a video and ask them to practice in pairs. Q: What happened to the animals?

Make a dialogue in pairs.

To practice “was/were done”.

Step 4

Ask students to listen to the tape and fill in the blanks. After that, ask them what the meanings of the following words are: was first found, was known for, can be found.

Students make a report individually. While listening, other students should take notes and give comments.
