Important points:

Step1. Revision (Free talk)
Review reading of Unit1 to lead in the topic of this period. Give students the four pictures of Millie, Simon, Daniel and Sandy. Ask the following questions:
Q1: Do you remember them? What are their names?
Q2: Who likes music?
Q3:Who loves reading?
Q4:Who is good at Maths?
Q5: Who likes Sports?
〖Purpose〗Free talk between the teacher and students can stimulate students' learning enthusiasm and create a relaxed and harmonious learning atmosphere.
Step 2 Lead-in
T: Do you like sports? What sports do you like ? Do you know these sports? (Look at the pictures on PPT and write words down on the blackboard)
Watch a video and answer.
Q: What sports can you see in the video?
S: Playing football, riding a bike, playing table tennis, playing basketball and skiing.
〖Purpose〗By simple communication and watching sports video, the students will be guided to say some sports words and naturally enter new knowledge learning.
Step 3 Presentation
A.1. Show some pictures of other sports to let ss learn more about sports.
Q1:Do you know other sports? (Show pictures about other sports.)
Blackboard: skating, badminton, running/ jogging, walking, swimming
Read the words after the teacher. Then play a game.(唱反调)
〖Purpose〗Through the presentation of pictures, from the known to the unknown sports vocabulary, further stimulate their enthusiasm for learning by playing a game and making use of the courseware, picture, sound.
