Ask ss what book they are reading now. Then present A Journey to the West. Present some characters in the novel and ask ss to finish some sentences. Show some sentences on the screen and tell ss about the object form. Tell them we use personal pronouns to replace the subjects so they don’t have to repeat them.
Step Three Practice
Ss work with partners and finish the dialogue.
Step Four Presentation
Present some previous sentences. Then add one more sentence to the former. Ask them what the red words mean. Then explain that they are personal pronouns in object forms. Guide ss to find out they should use object forms after verbs and prepositions.
Step Five Practice
Correct the mistakes in the sentences. During the process, explain the right order of personal pronouns and that they should put them in the middle of the verb expression.
Step Six Group work
Choose two stories from A Journey to the West. Divide ss into 8 groups. 4 groups finish the stories and the others act the stories out.
Step Seven Sum up
Praise ss for their work, and tell them reading makes our life better.
Step Seven Homework
Finish the exercise on the books.
Talk about school with classmates. Pay attention to use the correct personal pronouns.
