T: We know that video of Dad, where are we going. How much do you remember about them?

Whose father is this?

S: This is Kimi’s father. This is Xiatian’s father. This is Cindy’s father.

Step 3 Presentation

1. The meaning of Noun + ’s.

T: In English, We add ’s to a singular noun to show that something belongs to someone.

2.show some pictures.

3. Work out the rule.

T: Look at the words in red. Can you tell me how to add ’s correctly? Have a discussion with your partner.

(1) Add ’s to a singular noun.

(2) Add ’ to a plural noun ending in –s.

(3) Add ’s to plural nouns that do not end in –s, such as children’s, people’s, men’s, women’s.

(4) We use ’s with names. When a name ends in –s, we can add ’s or ’.
