Step1 Lead-in

Show some pictures to the students and get them to talk about the people :

What did they do ? How did they do that?

Present the sentences and get students to watch and work out the rule:

动词+ 副词

Step 2 Grammar learning : the form of the advebs

Have the students observe the adverb form of the adjectives , and sum up the rules one by one.(see PPt.6)

Practice: Write down the adverb forms of the adjectives.

Show some sentences which have the same form of adjectives and adverbs. And get students to remember the special words: hard, fast, high, low, long, late, early, far , well.

Practice: (1) Show some pictures and get students to make sentences about the people with an adverb after the verb.

(2) Finish off the exercises on P88 .

Step 3 Grammar learning : the comparative and superlative of adverbs

Show a picture of running, get students to talk about the runners:

Who ran faster,No.11 or No.7? Who ran the farthest of the three?
