Step 1.Lead-in

Ask and answer about students’ day.

T:What date is it today?What time do you get up in the morning?When do you do morning exercises?

Review about Millie’s Day.

T:Do you remeber Millie’s Day? Let’s tell about Millie’s Day.

3.There are many guest teachers in our classroom today.Let’s show them around our school and tell them about our school life.

Show the pictures of our school.(ppt)

T:Do you like your school?Do you think our school is beautiful?What do you do at school? Let’s complete the information about our school life.(ppt)

Step2:Presentation.

T:I think our school life is interesting and colourful.What about Millie’s? Do you want to know? Millie writes an email to her new online friend Tommy. From her email,we’ll learn about her school life.

Step3: Watch and answer

Now please watch the video carefully , then answer two questions.

Q1: What is Millie’s favourite subject?

Q2:Is she good at it?

Step4: Read the email quietly then finish Part B1 on Page 45.

Help students check the answers like this:

A:When do they do morning exercises?

B:They do morning exercises at eight.

Step5: Read the email again,try to judge the statements with T or F.

T:I think you have known about Millie’s school life.But Tommy doesn’t. He makes some notes here. And there is something wrong with his notes. Let’s help him check them.(ppt. P45 B2)

Step6: Play a game

T:Now you see,most of us know about Millie’s school life well. It’s time for us to relax. Let’s play a game.(ppt.)

Choose one for each group.

T:Look at each task,if you know the answer,you can stand up to tell us.If your answer is right,your group will get some points. In the end, the group which has the most points will be the winner!

Step7: Extension activity

T: Well,all of you did a good job.Today we learnt about Millie’s school life from the email. Now let’s retell it by completing the following exercise.(ppt.)
