Introduce the result of the volleyball match. Lead students to read the key information about time, space, the two teams and the result of the match.

Activity 3. Try to let others know about the match

Suppose you have a friend who also want to know something about the match. Try to tell him/her something about the match with the correct information.

Step 3. How to make an appointment?

Activity 4. Is Mr. Smith free now?

Show a pictures about Mr. Smith. Suppose you are making an appointment with him, what should you say to him?

Let students talk about what will they say to inform Mr.Smith? Give students some hint, let them talk about the time, place and occasion.

Show more pictures, then let students describe these pictures.

Activity 5. What should you do in these situations?

Divide the students into four groups, let each leader of the group choose a place to invite Mr.Smith to go to. Then have a discussion about what should they do in these situations. Write their answers on the blackboard.

Step 4. Practice preparing for the coming sports meeting

Activity 6. Help the coach

Show some sentence structures about the information about the coming sports meeting. Divide the students into pairs. Let them form a dialogue about how to help the coach of the school then act it out.

Show a picture about some happy students who wins in the sports meeting. Ask students if they are happy or not.

Let students write down what they want to say to this student as homework.
