1. Daniel and his classmates are talking about their pets. Let ss listen and answer:
What is Millie’s/Amy’s/Peter’s pet?
2. Let ss read the dialogue and answer more:
How does Millie/ Amy/Peter look after his/her pet?
Practicing
1. Ask ss to read the dialogue in pairs.
2. Let ss make up similar dialogues to talk about their pets.
3. Make several groups of ss to show their dialogues.
Presentation 2
1. Most ss like keeping goldfish as their pets. How much do you know about goldfish? Show ss some questions and let ss discuss them.
2. If we are not sure how to look after goldfish, maybe we can listen to a talk on goldfish. Peter is listening to it. Ask ss to help him finish some T or F exercises. Then check the answers in pairs.
3. Peter also wants to make notes about looking after goldfish. Ask ss to listen and finish his notes.

1. Let ss read the notes and try to remember them.
2. Show ss pictures and ask ss to have a discussion: If we keep goldfish as our pet, what should we do and what shouldn’t we do?
3. Peter also wants to tell his friend Amy how to look after goldfish. So he is calling her. Let ss finish part A3 on page 100 and then check the answers.
