Step1. Free talk
1. T: In this unit, we learn a lot about pets. I have some questions to ask you.
1) What animals can be pets?
2) Who looks after your pet at home (if you have a pet)?
3) What does your pet like/dislike (to do)?
2. T: We talked a lot about your pets. Do you want to know about my pet? I’ll tell you about my favourite pet. Do you have any questions about my favourite pet? Then ask me.
3. Ss ask T questions about T’s favourite pet.
Step2. Presentation
T tells Ss about “My favourite pet” to elicit some new words and expressions.
“2 years old, small, blue eyes, green, blue and yellow feathers, friendly, lazy, not quiet/noisy, feed her seeds and nuts, worry, take good care of/look after… well”
Step3. Presentation
1. T: Amy also has her favourite pet and she gave a presentation on it. We have 6 questions about the script.
1) What is Amy’s favourite pet?
2) What does she look like?
3) What is she like?
4) What is her lifestyle?
