2.Show a pictureof a parrot.Ask: My friend also has a pet. What’s it? What colour is it? What do you think of it? Help Ss to answer: It’s a parrot. It’s yellow, red and green. It’s colourful. It’s a colourful bird. I think it’s very beautiful. It’s a beautiful parrot.
3.Then ask: What other adjectives can we to use to describe pets. Lead to these words: lovely lazy beautiful.
4.Make sentences with lovely，lazy?and?beautiful?to describe their own pets.
(1)My rabbit is lovely./ It is a lovely rabbit.
(2)My mouse is lazy./ It is a lazy mouse.
(3)My parrot is beautiful./ It is a beautiful parrot.
5.Write them on the Bb. Ask: Where do we put an adjective? Encourage Ss to say out the answer: We put an adjective before a noun or after a linking verb.

1.Ask Ss to complete PartA1 on their own and find out adjectives in the sentences.Then read the three sentences together.
2.Tell Ss: Daniel found two passages about pets on the website.
Complete the sentences with the adjectives in the box.

Step3 Presentation
1.Communicate with students: We know pets are our good friends. They can make us happy. Does anybody/anyone in our class have a pet? Oh, I’m glad to know that somebody /someone in our class has a pet.Write anybody anyone somebody someone on the Bb.
2.Arrange a student to stand outside the door. Then close the door and ask Ss: Is everyone /everybody here now? Help Ss to answer. Then say:You are right.There’s someone standing outside the classroom.
Is there anyone sitting on the seat? Lead Ss to answer: No,there isn’t anybody sitting on the seat. There is nobody/no one sitting on the seat.Write everyone everybody nobody no one on the Bb.
3.Let the student outside go back to his seat.Ask: Is there anybody standing outside the classroom now? Lead Ss to answer: No, there isn’t anyone standing outside the classroom.
