Step 2. Lead-in
Teacher asks:
I want to buy a pet, this is a pet shop, how many kinds of pets are there in the pet shop?
Which pet should I choose?

It isn’t ant trouble.
It never bites.

Step 3. Pre-task
Show students 3 different kinds of goldfish, give them the tag and give one example: It costs 20 yuan. It weighs 15 grams,
Encourage students to describe other two goldfish according to the tags.
Explain the usage of the word “weigh”.
After choosing the pet for the teacher, the shopkeeper tells students how to look after their goldfish.
Learn about how to look after other pets, such as cats, rabbits, parrots, and dogs.
Step4. While-task
Task 1: Listen to a talk on goldfish and choose “True” of “False” in A1 on page 99.
Task 2: Listen to the talk again and finish the notes in A2 on page 99.
Task 3: Complete Peter’s conversation with Amy with the help of information on page 99.
Task 4: Read the dialogue between Daniel and Amy
Task 5: Use their conversation as a model, make a new dialogue about how to look after other pets.
