Step 1. Greetings

Greet the students.

Step 2. Revisions

Ask the students to translate Chinese into English by using “can” “could” “what” and “how”.

1. 我会游泳。 2. 去年我们会放风筝了。

3. 你会骑自行车吗？ 4. 两年前，你们会踢足球吗？

5. 他们10 个月大时候不会走路。 6. 多重要的一本书呀！

7. 昨天他买了好漂亮的花呀！ 8. 多么有用的信息呀！

9. 她多么漂亮呀！ 10. 这辆小轿车跑得多么快呀！

Step 3. Presentation

1 Learn the new words.

(Ask the students to find the Chinese meaning of them and read them loudly)

Ask some questions about the report and ask the students to skim the report and answer them.

Ask the students to list as many subjects as they can find.

Step 4. Task procedures.

1, Listening (Finish Part A2.)

Play the tape and ask the students to complete Mr. Wu’s notes.

Play the tape again to enable students to check their answers.

2,Writing.

A, Complete the profile of Suzy.

B, Write a profile.

Divide the class into groups. Ask them to write a profile according to the student profile of Suzy.

Invite some groups to show their results.

Read it and work out the way of writing a profile.

Step5. Homework

Oral work: Make a dialogue about what you can and cannot do.
