Fast reading:

Main ides of each paragraph

The reasons that Mr. Wu recommend Daniel

Comparison: to compare to versions( the original one and the other one without examples)

Detailed reading:

How do you know he is clever/thoughtful and brave?Students will talk about the activities Daniel does and talk about his qualities by using “ He is... because....”

Students will find the topic sentence of each paragraph

Students will find the reasons why Mr. Wu recommended Daniel

Students will compare the two versions and give reasons about their choice
