教学环节一 写前输入
【设计意图】为了激发学生阅读推荐信的兴趣,从介绍我的学生入手。练习一 让学生快速阅读后,操练句型:would like to recommend… for…;练习二 让学生复习用来描写人的一些单词、短语和句型。
T:My students want to make friends with you, so they asked their monitor Kitty to write some letters to you. In the letter, Kitty introduced some star students to you. Please read the letters quickly, and introduce the star students in the letters:
S:Read the letter, then complete the sentence:
Kitty would like to recommend for
T:You have known sth. about my star students. Do you know why Kitty recommends them?
S:Read the letters again and try to talk more about the star students :
Kitty would like to recommend Millie for the Reading Star because .
Kitty would like to recommend Tom for the Sports Star because

教学环节二 写作铺垫
【设计意图】 通过对话练习,使学生进一步练习自己写推荐信所需要用到的短语和句型。通过阅读Mr Wu 的信让学生学习推荐信的主要结构。
T:it’s time for you to introduce some of your star students
S:Practise in pairs:
A: Who would you like to recommend for the Reading Star?
B: I would like to recommend….
A: Why?
B: Because….
(the Sports Star / the English Star/the Helpful Star)
T:Mr. Wu wants to recommend Daniel for this Year’s Youth Award. Please read the letter silently and find out why Mr. Wu recommends Daniel.( write the main points on the Bb)
S:Read the letter silently, find out the reasons.
T:Do you know how to write a recommendation letter? ( write the structure on the Bb)
S:Read the letter again and find out the structure of the letter.
