Step 2. Presentation
1. The old man who was saved by Wang Ling wrote a letter to recommend her for the Bravery Medal. Read the letter and finish the table.
2. Summary : We can write a story to show someone’s personality.
Step 3. Presentation
1. Mr Wu wrote a letter to recommend Daniel for this year’s Youth Award.Read Mr Wu’s letter and answer the questions.
(1) Who wrote the letter?
(2) What happened to a 5-year-old boy last week?
(3) Who did he recommend ?
(4) What kind of person is Daniel?
2. Read with the teacher and try to divide the letter into three parts. And work out the rule: how to write a recommendation letter.
3. Read the letter again and fill in the blanks in the table.
4. Group discussion: to recommend a classmate for an award.
Step 4. Practice
Group work: Writing a recommendation letter.
After writing, put four parts into a poster and show the work in front of the class.
