三、Teaching procedures
StepⅠ Warm-up
Talk with the students and point out the goal for this class.
Show the picture about Yang Kezhang to the students. Then
show the introduction about him.
The teacher asks“How do you feel?”
Then lead the students to say something about him.
e.g. brave great good hero etc.
Then write:“ a brave young man” on the Bb.
StepⅡ Presentation:
Show some pictures about the fire on the screen.Then asks“What’s your feeling after looking at them?”
Then lead the students to say something about them.
e.g dangerous sad terrible afraid death
The teachers lead the students to know we should be careful
with the fire.
Show the pictures about firemen put out the fire
Then lead the students to say something about the firemen. e.g.“What do you think of them?”
Show the words :brave helpful kind warm-hearted.
Check out the new words that the students have prepared.
Ask the students to finish the exercises on Page 83
Then check out the answers and pay attention to the difficult
words e.g .alone rush burn
Lead the students to learn the article about “a brave young
man”.
Play the tape for the students and lead the students to listen
carefully with some questions.
e.g “Who saved someone from the fire?”
“When did the fire happen?”
