Step1 Lead-in
Show a video and ask students to answer questions.
T: Today, I invite a friend to our class. Let’s enjoy her video and answer two questions.
Q1: What’s the friend’s name?
Q2: Where is she?
Students watch the video and answer the questions.
T: Let’s read the book --- Alice in wonderland.
Show the translation works of students and ask them to talk about Alice in wonderland.
T: At the beginning of this term, you have translated some parts on Alice in wonderland. What do you know about that?
Students share what they learnt from the translation.
T: I searched some information about it. Look at the picture. He is an English writer. His name is Lewis Carrol. He wrote this book. It’s about a girl’s adventure. Now, let’s read the chapter 1 --- Down the rabbit hole.
