Step 1:Free talk
What do you usually do after school?
Do you like reading? What do you usually like reading after school?
Step2:Presentation
1.Present some pictures of Wonderland from the movie Alice in Wonderland.
2.Ask the students : Who is the main character of the story?
3.Lead the students to guess and get the result: Alice.
4.Lead in the new lesson.
New lesson
1) Get the students to listen to the tape with their books open,and ask students to
underline the new words if they don’t know the meanings.
2) Learn the new words together.
3) Read the article again and do Section B3 and check the answers.
4) Listen and read after the tape from paras1-2 and think about two questions:
Where did Alice see a white rabbit?
What did the rabbit say?
5) Fill in the blanks.
6) Listen to the tape and think about the questions of para3:
Why did the rabbit surprise Alice?
Where did the rabbit go?
What did Alice do then?
Why did she do that?
If you saw such a rabbit, would you follow it like Alice did?
7) listen to the tape and fill in the blanks according to paras4-5
Did Alice get out of the hall and into the lovely garden?

10) Complete the conversation and ask some pairs to act the dialogue out.
