Step One Lead in: Take the time machine and go back to the past
Present some time phrase and make students learn about them

1. Part 1 规则动词过去式的构成
(1) 一般在动词原形末尾加-ed
(2) 结尾是e的动词加-d
(3) 末尾只有一个辅音字母的重读闭音节词, 先双写这个辅音字母, 再加-ed
(4) 结尾是“辅音字母+y” 的动词, 先变“y”为“i”, 再加-ed
2. Part 2 不规则动词过去式的构成
(1)没有变化 cost-cost put-put
(2)改变了元音 write-wrote know-knew
(3)改变了辅音 make-made spend-spent
(4)元音和辅音都变化 leave-left teach-taught
(5)其他的 am/is-was are-were
