教学过程Step 1 Warming up

1 .问学生:Do you want to keep a pet at home? Why or Why not?

2. 展示图片,问学生: What’s your favourite pet and why you like it.

Step 2 Listening

完成Listening 板块的练习,训练提取事实和观点的听力技能。

学生阅读Listening 板块的引言,了解听力文本的背景。

学生浏览练习A的笔记,预测需填写的内容。教师播放录音,学生完成练习A。

学生听第二遍,说出养宠物的原因。掌握速记技巧。

3 学生复述Alice 和Jason 分别最喜欢的宠物及养宠物的原因。

4. 学生浏览练习B。教师提醒学生在再次听录音的过程中应注意Jason 和Alice 发表了

哪些观点,哪些是各自的,哪些又是共同的。教师再次播放录音,学生完成练习B。 Step 3 Language points

学生认读和理解单词 lie,attention和短语 lie around。做笔记重点。

Step 4 Pair work

教师可以要求他们两人一组,分别以 Alice和 Jason的口吻以对话形式谈论各

自最喜欢的宠物。

Step 5 Talk about different opinions. (Students discuss and share)

1 Talk about Emma and Matt’s opinion on keeping pets.

2 According to the opinion, give some supporting facts and reasons.

3 Present some key words to show their different opinions.

Stating opinions: I think/I don't think… is a good idea.

Telling reasons: First, Second, What’s more, Finally,

Conclusion(总结): For these reasons, …

4Students give their opinions on whether keeping pets or not.

Step 6 Writing

1 Present the passage. Read and learn some phrases.

2 Tell the structure of the passage: Introduction, Body and Conclusion.

3 According to the three parts, ask some questions.

4Write their own composition.
