Teaching procedures:
Step 1. Lead –in
Free talk about the weather and transportation;
Watch a video to introduce SiHong;
Show some map about the distance and the direction to introduce the topic;
Step 2:Presentation
Task 1: Learn the direction: north, south, west and east;
Activity 1: give the little horse a helping hand (tell the direction)
Task 2: Learn more direction: north-east, north-west, south-east, south-west;
Step 3: Let’s go on a class trip (part A)
Task 3: learn the important sentence : A be + 方位 of + B
Sunshine Zoo is north of Sunshine Middle school.
Sunny Garden is west of the zoo.
Lake Park is south of Sunny Garden.
Sunshine Park is east of Lake Park.
Activity 3:Find the places the students plan to visit and write the correct numbers in the boxes.
Step 4:Presentation (part B)
