Step 1. Greetings and Free-talk.
T: Hello, boys and girls. Today we will learn the Reading of Unit 4 A trip to the Zoo.
Do you like animals?
Do you know something about animals?
Do you want to visit a Zoo?
(设计意图:展示一些动物图片,并且随意谈论下有关动物的内容,让学生快速地了解本课的主题)
Step 2 Memory of our trip.
A few days ago, we visited Hangzhou Safari Park.there are many animals in it. Alpacas are lovely, and parrots can make beautiful sounds when they sing.Peacocks are really beautiful.
Monkeys like to jump around. They are funny. They can play tricks and make people laugh. Giraffes are quite tall. They have very long necks.They can eat leaves from trees.We also saw a panda ,and it likes eating bamboos.There are also some lions and tigers in the park ,but we have to stay in the car when we see them,because they are too dangerous. Although the elephant is large , but they are friendly to us.
(设计意图:恰逢班级春游去了杭州野生动物园,该部分以一些同学们在动物园在中所拍摄的动物图片为契机,编成一个小片段来了解动物的信息。学生们可以更加积极地投入课堂)
Step 3 Listen to the record of the text and to get the main idea of it.

Step 4 Careful Reading .
Ask the Ss to read the text carefully, and they should pay attention to the following things while reading.
1. Where are the animals ?(动物的位置)
2. How can you find them?(如何找到它们)
3.The features of each animal (动物的特征习性)
(设计意图:给时间充足的时间阅读,同时引导学生带着问题如阅读,而不是盲目地去看文章,并且引导学生学会在阅读是做笔记。)
Step 5 Practice.
Task1. Read the article again and complete part B1 on page45.
